Privacy Policy

Nekobit is a pixel-art virtual pet game. We built it so your cats live on your phone, not on our servers. This policy explains what that means.

The short version

Nekobit does not collect, store or share any personal data. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking.

What stays on your device

• Your cats and game progress (names, stats, items, settings) are saved on your device, inside Nekobit's own storage, so the app and its widgets can show them, and backed up to your own iCloud (see below).
• Recorded meows. If you record your own cat's meow, the recording is saved on your device, backed up to your own iCloud, and only played back inside Nekobit. The microphone is used only while the recording screen is open and you've tapped Record.
• Notifications are scheduled on your device to remind you when a cat needs something. Nothing is sent to us to do that.

Apple Intelligence

On devices that support Apple Intelligence, Nekobit can use Apple's on-device language model to write your cat's thoughts, suggest names and word its reminders. This runs entirely on your device. Your cats' details are not sent to us or to anyone else.

Purchases

In-app purchases are handled by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details. Apple's privacy policy applies to those transactions.

iCloud backup

If you're signed in to iCloud, Nekobit backs up your cats, your game progress, what you've bought and your recorded meows to your own private iCloud database, so they come back if you reinstall the app or get a new phone. That data lives in your iCloud account, under Apple's privacy policy. We have no access to it. You can turn this off in the Settings app under your name → iCloud, or delete it from iCloud storage settings.

This site has no cookies, no analytics and no trackers.

Children

Nekobit is suitable for all ages and collects no personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with a new "Last updated" date.
